Zobrist Design Group is a design & build firm specializing in high end residential projects.  We offer a “one stop” approach to our clients where we can coordinate every aspect of their project including the architecture, interior design with finish selection meetings, landscape design, master planning,  and construction.  We are able to understand and approach a project from an owner, contractor, or developer’s perspective while at the same time producing great designs.   We provide a wide range of services on a variety of project types, and see those projects through from initial concept, to design, all the way to the finished product.

CAREER OPPORUTNITIES

JUNIOR ARCHITECT (FULL TIME)

The Junior Architect will work directly with the Director of Design planning, organizing, coordinating, and direct project execution. This individual is responsible for development, coordination, support, and evaluation of the quality and consistency of deliverables. Must be detailed oriented and able to lead others as well as respect and support the direction of the firm.

Job Duties:

  • Execution and management of architectural and design projects from initial meetings through construction administration, including printing/reproduction, preliminary design, renderings, design development, construction documentation, code reviews and research, and contract/fee management.
  • Production of Architectural drawings and details using AutoCAD Drafting software for Preliminary Design, Design Development, Construction Drawings, Shop Drawings (We sometimes create drawings for our sub-vendors to use on their CNC machines, such as railings and decorative brackets)
  • Renderings & Illustrations for presentation Boards (Use of Adobe suite of products)
  • Management & updating of Client CPM Selections
  • Purchasing and coordination of delivery of CPM selections for construction
  • Site Surveys (Field Measurements)
  • Secure Zoning and Building Permits

Construction administration

  • Creation of detailed building components including sections, details & elevations
  • Coordination with interior design team & construction team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Schedule, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe In-Design, Sketch-up and AutoCAD 2012 or newer.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships
  • Provide input and maintain Firm’s standards both technically and professionally

RESIDENTIAL DESIGN ASSISTANT (FULL TIME)

The Junior Designer will work directly with the team to plan, organize, and coordinate project execution. This individual is responsible for working with the project team and executing tasks efficiently and accurately. Must be able to lead others as well as respect and support the direction of the owners and the firm.

Job Duties:

Execution of interior design & architectural projects from design through construction documentation, including printing/reproduction, generating drawings and documents. Including but not limited to:

  • CAD Drafting
  • Renderings & Illustrations
  • Design of Details or portions of a buildings and interiors
  • Presentation Boards (Use of Illustrator and In-design)
  • Updating of Client CPM Selections
  • Site Surveys (Field Measurements)
  • Construction administration

Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Schedule, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe In-Design, Sketch-up and AutoCAD 2012 or newer.
